Birth and upbringing

The French colonialists tried repeatedly to arrest Zulekha, but each time their attempts were unsuccessful, until the colonialist carried out a wide sweep operation targeting the Bou Harb Mountains and Sidi Soliman, so Zulekha fell into the hands of the French occupation, on October 15, 1957, so the occupation practiced the most heinous torture on it. For 10 consecutive days, to interrogate her and learn information about the Mujahideen from her, but Zulekha stood steadfast in the face of all forms of torture.

Even the enemy tied Zulekha in a military vehicle, dragged her and tortured her in the street in front of the Algerian people to be an example to the Mujahideen. She only shouted at the top of her voice, "O brothers, look to the mountain, look up to the mountain."
