Before now, I asked myself this question, but I was unable to uncover the cause. About 18.7% of girls in Nigeria and 47.5% in Africa wear waist beads. Today, we are going to know why girls wear waist beads.

Waist beads are also referred to as belly beads, waistline beads, or beaded waist chains. Waist beads being one of the trending fashions in Africa at the moment is a local African fixture that consists of tiny beads worn around the waist and despite many people not adopting the idea of ladies putting on waist beads, they have numerous advantages.


REASONS WHY GIRLS WEAR WAIST BEADS


In this 21st century, girls wear waist beads for various justifications and they are;


1. It is a symbol of womanhood, fertility, sensuality, and religious well-being.


2. Fashion: In this current time, waist beads are not worn by only Africans because they adorn whoever wears them.


3. Girls wear waist beads to know if there is any weight loss or gain in their abdomen.

Iran: Man hanged in public in Gharchak (west of Tehran) 1 man was hanged publicly in the town of Gharchak (Qarchak; Tehran province) early this morning. According to the state run Iranian news agency Fars, a 29 years old man identified as Bakhshali Asgari was hanged convicted of murdering a 9 year-old girl and her grandmother, sexual abuse of the girl and stealing the woman’s jewelry in 2009. The man was hanged publicly at 06:16 AM in front of tens of people. He had also been sentenced to 74 lashes and the sentenced was implemented in the prison yesterday.
