Too many crazy, sanctimonious and dumb people in Nigeria.

The offence of this man undergoing this torture is that he dressed like a woman and “deceiving men.” For that reason, he’s about to be lynched. 

Now the question is WHY? The last time I checked, I didn’t find any law that says a man should not dress as a woman or even use same to “deceive men.” At the worst, the said man or men is at liberty to take up the issue on his own and deal with it as he finds appropriate, either by dragging the man to the police or fighting it out with the said culprit. In other words, it’s a personal matter that should be settled, if you will, as breach of contract. 

But what do we have? Because Nigeria is run on sentiments and not law, things like this happen. This is a country where the government and citizens try to outdo each other in jungle justice rather than the law. You saw how the other day the FCT authorities went and pulled down a N200million house and ended hundreds millions more business because naked girls were dancing there. Pure sentiment! 

You see a man and a woman, two consenting adults, pressed by the call of nature, who found the nearest convenient place to ease themselves, being dragged out from an uncompleted building, probably, in the middle of the first course of the meal and stripped to their birthday suits. Reason: They were caught having sex. Two adults! None raping the other! Now the property doesn’t belong to you to make a case of trespass. The other day a man was forced to mate with a woman in public, because the woman was said to be married. Not that the woman was a minor. Nobody bothers to know how e be for the woman, knowing that body no be wood. Even the other day I saw a woman similarly being humiliated alongside a lover, reason being that the woman looked about 70 and the lover apparently in his 20s. They were said to have been caught in a bush.

I was forced to ask those condemning them whether they could do the same to Emmanuel Macron or Ned Nwoko or other men and women flocking different hotels or pleasure homes dotting everywhere in the country with young partners? Don’t people know that just as some like it hot and others prefer it cold, some like young and some like it old, as the case may? That’s how my friend was arrested in one country, as he stood watching two adults rolling over themselves on the sand in an open beach, with his mouth agape, because they’re naked. We know what we did to get him out of the hole eventually.
